Why batteries die at the movies
Headlights. If your lights are set to on instead of auto, they stay on the whole movie. Two hours of headlights is enough to drain most batteries.
Short trips. A lot of people drive five or ten minutes to the theater. That is not long enough to put back what starting the engine took out, so a weak battery gets weaker every trip.
Heat. Parking all afternoon on an open top deck or a sunny lot in Florida cooks a battery. Heat is the main reason batteries here last two to three years instead of four or five.
Stuck at AMC Aventura?
The Aventura Mall garages are huge and every deck looks the same. You do not need to know the level. Tell us you are by the AMC entrance, give us the color and make of your car, and anything painted on a nearby pillar. If you are not sure, walk to the theater entrance and we will meet you there and walk to the car together.
